Good Resource
About the app:
Vocabulary:
When you first go in, scroll all the way down to the bottom. After ten or so fast scrolls of my thumb, Im only at section "C"! There is a good chunk of words in here.
Click on a word:
The video will play, but probably too soon, so go to the little "i" button (main page) and there will be an option to delay the "before and after" of the video. This gives you some time to prepare.
Click on the arrow next to the word:
There will be at least on sentence option where you can see the sign in a sentence. NOTE: it is all ASL and they sign pretty fast, so if youre just starting out, it will be hard.
Other features:
Other features include being able to turn off the English translation on the sentence button/boxes until after youve watched the ASL.
Overall:
this would probably work better if youve had some experience with ASL already.
The signing is really fast, and many of the videos cut off too early and too late for you to see the whole sign into completion, (much like saying "Appl--" if youre trying to say "Apple") which is sometimes frustrating, but if you watch a few times youll get it.
Id definitely recommend this app for those whove already begun to learn some of the grammar and syntax of ASL.
